Dream Big, Work Hard, Have VISION.
Dream Big, Work Hard, Have VISION.
“Dream big, work hard.” These four simple, yet inspiring words, helped transform JJ Watt from a small-town Wisconsin boy to an incredibly respected NFL player and Walter Payton Man of the Year Award winner and are the testaments to the work of the JJ Watt Foundation. These words parallel our company’s philosophy as well. VISION is committed to going above and beyond to create meaningful experiences that live ON for our clients and their important causes. That is why the JJ Watt Charity Classic was the perfect setting for our latest VISION Day outing.
On May 4th, our entire VISION family got together at Minute Maid Park to watch JJ Watt and his Texans teammates battle it out in a softball game benefiting the JJ Watt Foundation. VISION is proud to donate to the JJ Watt Foundation, helping to support the foundation’s cause to provide after-school opportunities for middle-school aged children in the community. The Foundation helps kids become involved in athletics so they may learn the character traits of accountability, teamwork, leadership, work ethic, and perseverance while in a safe and supervised environment with their peers.
Houston is an incredibly diverse and vibrant city, which is among the many reasons VISION is proud to call this city home. We respect organizations that want to make positive differences and impact in our community. VISION embraces every opportunity to champion our community and beyond through our work. This is why we jumped at this exceptional opportunity to support such an honorable foundation.
JJ Watt is not only making Houstonians proud on the field as a Houston Texans Defensive player, but also off the field by helping kids in the community through the JJ Watt Foundation. Watt recognizes that he would not have received such success if it were not for the support of athletics. In an effort to give the kids of the community the same opportunities that were afforded him, he started the JJ Watt Foundation which provides funding for middle schools across the country that have insufficient or no funding for after-school athletic programs. In addition to the millions that the foundation has raised for this mission, the JJ Watt Foundation also raised more than $37 million for Hurricane Harvey Relief.
The VISION team and our families had a blast watching the Texans Offense rally to beat the Defense with a final score of 13-7. However, no matter which team came out on top that day, the real winners are kids across the nation. At this year’s JJ Watt Charity Classic, more than $1.1 million was raised to support after-school athletic programs for middle-school children. We are so honored to support such a wonderful cause—helping our community live ON.
