Houston Parks Board Annual Luncheon

Let’s Get Closer.

Since 1976, the Houston Parks Board has worked towards an extraordinary vision to provide every single person in Houston with improved access to enhanced green spaces, better connectivity between parks and the preservation of our unique urban ecosystem. Houston Parks Board’s Annual Luncheon helps to raise funds to enhance Houston’s green infrastructure and celebrate our city’s greatest parks, green spaces and trails. The Houston Parks Board engaged VISION to use our live event and video production expertise to create a luncheon experience for the Houston Parks Board that supports their important mission to help our community green spaces to live ON.

In 2012, the Houston Parks Board launched Bayou Greenways 2020, an ambitious initiative to create 150 miles of trails that will connect Houston’s major bayous. This year, the Houston Parks Board Luncheon served as the kickoff event for a year-long, city-wide celebration in 2020 as the Bayou Greenways project’s exciting impact comes to life.

  • Event Production:

The Houston Parks Board engaged VISION to be a Production Partner for their Annual Luncheon—bringing our live event production and content creation skills to help showcase the incredible work of their organization to the more than 350 local park advocates and city officials in attendance.

  • Video Production:

The Houston Parks Board wanted to highlight how far Houston parks have come and what’s ahead “Beyond the Bayous” at their 11th Annual Luncheon. To generate excitement about the Parks Board’s initiatives and new “Let’s Get Closer’ marketing campaign, VISION worked with The Black Sheep Agency to produce two videos showcasing real Houstonians sharing their individual “Parks By You” stories with an encouraging message of “Let’s Get Closer.”

Houston’s parks connect us to each other across communities and serve as spaces of joy and celebration where we are united by the common space under our feet. VISION is proud to help the Houston Parks Board cultivate these green spaces that bring us closer to our families and our neighbors, to the city we love and the things that matter most.
