Young people today are more informed and more connected than ever before. To harness the power of their imagination is to create a better future. The FIRST® Robotics Competition (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) promotes STEM education and inspires young people’s interest and participation in science, technology, engineering and math by bringing together students of all ages in 900 teams from around the world to compete in building a robot completely from scratch. FIRST helps them get to the next level too as FIRST students are eligible for more than $16 million in college scholarships from more than 150 colleges and universities. In VISION, NRG found a production partner who could capture the experience of kid engineers who are building amazing robots, celebrating science and competing to change the future—to ensure possibility lives ON.
Video Content and Production:
We worked with NRG’s marketing team to develop a social media digital campaign to tell the inspiring story of students and mentors to online audiences around the globe and give them insight into just how important FIRST is to educating and engaging young people through the power of engaging videos to bring the audience into the competition.
The results were impressive: the campaign earned over 11.7 million social impressions and over 115,800 social engagements. The videos were viewed more than 2.4 million times and NRG attained the #1 share of voice among all FIRST sponsors.
