Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

Roping in a new experience for a world-class rodeo.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) isn’t a rodeo, it’s the rodeo. As in the largest rodeo in the world. More than 2,483,000 million people a year attend this 21-day long annual extravaganza held at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, with millions more watching on Fox Sports around the nation on television and a live web stream. VISION was engaged to help RODEOHOUSTON step into the spotlight with a new national-level graphics package, videos and animations to elevate RODEOHOUSTON’s look to fit alongside the likes of NFL Monday night football—and help the RODEOHOUSTON’s impressive legacy live ON.

A world-renowned event of this size and scale needed a production partner that could create compelling, memorable content for a bold live and broadcast experience that would connect with audiences of every age group and diversity. VISION was honored to produce RODEOHOUSTON’s broadcast graphics package that plays live in NRG Stadium and live on Fox Sports Southwest during the 21 day rodeo event. Attendance at the world’s largest indoor rodeo averages 2,483,000 a year and the extended audience on FoxSports adds millions more.

  • Video Production:

With a multi-million-dollar investment in new video presentation technology and equipment, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo was determined to come out of the gate with a fresh, clean and progressive look to engage millions of fans live, via broadcast and on the web.

  • Broadcast Graphics:

To add life to their heritage brand (and to complement their new state-of-the-art technology), we ideated and created a broadcast graphics package for Fox Sports, as well as a new stadium graphics package to be showcased live inside NRG Stadium on one of the largest video screens in the world (277.17 feet long and 52.49 feet wide).

The results included record-breaking attendance numbers and a boost to FOX Sports’ coverage, supporting the Rodeo’s long-term tradition of engaging millions so that their generous spirit of giving back to the Houston Community, including more than $375 million to education.
