NRG Energy Case Study Challenge

Realizing the potential of energy with the NRG Energy Case Study Challenge.

NRG is the leading integrated power company in the U.S., built on the strength of the nation’s largest and most diverse competitive electric generation portfolio and leading retail electricity platform. NRG aims to be pioneers in developing smarter energy choices and they know that today’s big thinkers are tomorrow’s world problem solvers. This is why NRG partnered with The Economist for the “Which MBA?” NRG Energy Case Study Challenge, a competition that gives young minds of today an opportunity to present ideas on sustainability.

The Economist invited teams of MBA students from around the world to submit a proposal to solve an energy issue. As part of their role, NRG needed to create two videos: one to supply a video presentation of the challenge to be released to the teams and another to announce the winners of the competition. Therefore, NRG engaged VISION to create state-of-the-art animated videos that showcase the importance of the competition.

    Video Production:

VISION teamed up with NRG, the sponsor of The Economist’s “Which MBA?” Energy Case Study Challenge, to create two state-of-the-art animated videos: one that supplies the challenge to the participating teams, and another to announce the winners of the competition.

    3D Animation:

VISION used fun 3D graphics animation to bring the challenge and entries to life while infusing NRG’s brand messaging.
The Economist’s NRG Energy Case Study Challenge was a great success for NRG. In fact, the challenge received 16 impressive submissions from top MBA schools worldwide including Colombia University, MIT and HEC Paris.

From what we can see, the future of renewable energy and energy financing appears to be in very good hands.
